Pinal County Elections is pleased to announce a new Ballot Measure Pro/Con Statement Portal for Proposition 486 for the 2024 General Election. The portal offers individuals, political committees, and organizations the additional convenience of submitting statements “for” and “against” Proposition 486 online. Submissions will be reproduced verbatim within the official Publicity Pamphlet that will be mailed in September to the household of each registered voter in Pinal County.
The portal can be accessed either directly via the button below, or on the Pinal County Elections page, under the Quick Links section.
The fee for submitting a pro/con statement is $25.00 and statements must be turned in and online payment must be received by 5:00 P.M. (MST) on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
Published pro/con statements will contain the signer’s full name, city, and state of residence. There may be multiple signers per statement and if provided, the signer’s title and organization will be printed. Per A.R.S. § 19-124(A), submitted arguments may not exceed 300 words and will appear in the Publicity Pamphlet exactly as submitted.
For residents who prefer to deliver their Pro/Con statement in person, they can drop off their statement and fee at the Pinal Votes Building, located at 320 W. Adamsville Road, Florence, AZ 85132, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The deadline for an in person submission is also 5:00 P.M. (MST) on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
