A four-story luxury apartment complex is planned for the northeast corner of Seventh Avenue and Camelback Road.
Developers received preliminary site plan approval from the city of Phoenix last week.
The 4.8-acre property received Phoenix’s Walkable Urban Code zoning designation in late 2022 to pave the way for the apartments. The designation, aimed specifically at multifamily residences near public transport, lowers parking requirements but requires bicycle infrastructure and increases requirements for sidewalks and shade for people walking by the property.
There is a bus stop adjacent to the property on Seventh Avenue and a light rail station just west of the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Camelback Road.
