Rich Adams, incumbents leading the pack in Mesa council primary

The Mesa City Council has 3 of their 6 seats up for grabs in the 2024 elections. With the Arizona primaries occurring on Tuesday, July 30, results are starting to pour in.

In Northwest Mesa’s District 1, where councilmember Mark Freeman has left his seat to pursue the office of Mayor,  Rich Adams currently leads the pack with 33.7% of the total vote and 2,694 votes accrued so far as of 9:40 p.m. on July 30.

Ron Williams trails closely behind with 30.5% and 2,438 votes. Rounding out the pack is Tim Meyer with 25.1% and 2,009 votes and Zachary Hichez with 10.6% and 851 votes.
