Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar will hand over what he told Axios on Tuesday was his “badass” “rock star” LaFerrari to the highest bidder at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Fall Auction in October.
The big picture: “Honestly, It’s just too much car for me. This is a real race car. This should belong to someone who has great eyesight, great reflexes, about half my age — and very wealthy,” Hagar told us before his concert at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.
- The car will be auctioned off on the eve of his 77th birthday.
Flashback: Hagar was one of 499 people invited to purchase a LaFerrari, the premier model from the luxury Italian carmaker.
- He flew to Italy and worked with the company’s design team to select a vanilla-colored exterior and black and white interior.
- In Hagar’s humble opinion, it’s the most beautiful of all 499 LaFerraris.
