Neighborhood park in Chandler to get upgrades

By Ken Sain | Chandler Arizonan

Gazelle Meadows Park is getting an upgrade.

The Chandler City Council approved spending about $5 million to renovate the park in the Galveston neighborhood at its Aug. 15 meeting.

The city plans to add a basketball court, skate plaza, additional parking, playground equipment, shade structures and landscaping. Construction will start this fall and it is scheduled to take 240 days to complete, meaning the work will be completed in the early summer of 2025.
