CASA GRANDE — The city Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on two industrial areas at the Casa Grande Main Library on Thursday as part of a state requirement to meet in two locations before a final vote by the City Council on general plan changes.
Proceedings took on a retro feel when planning staff were unable to get a projector working for PowerPoint presentations and city Assistant Attorney Mark Graffius obliged to hold up his cellphone with an image of the American flag for the Pledge of Allegiance. Senior Planner Jaclyn Sarnowski summarized the agenda items with hard-copy handouts.
The matters focused on amendments from Neighborhoods to Manufacturing and Industry on 2,500 acres southeast of Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and Indian Valley Road and from Rural to Manufacturing and Industry for 80 acres at the southeast corner of Bianco and Clayton roads.
