Goodwill opening East Valley center

PHOENIX — The first Goodwill clearance center in the East Valley will open on Thursday.

At the new store, thrifters will have the opportunity to search through donation bins instead of shopping in a traditional retail setting. Items will be sold by the pound, which Goodwill says allows shoppers to shop in a more sustainable and cost-effective manner.

The store, located in Chandler near Arizona Avenue and Ray Road, will be open each day from 9 a.m. to 9 pm.
