A three-story cigar club has been proposed to be built in north Scottsdale.

The proposal for Torch Club or Nogen Villa, as it is referred to in the documents submitted to the city, call for a three-story, 15,371-square-foot establishment at 20159 N. Scottsdale Road.

The developers said in their proposal that the club will offer “an unparalleled luxury experience,” and will include a bar, café and members salon.

The designers and legal team behind the cigar club – Pathangay Architects and Rose Law Group – presented the development to the Scottsdale Development Review Board earlier this month. While the project received some positive remarks from the board, it was decided that the development team needed to work with the city to make sure the cigar bar fits with the standards of the area.

The matter is supposed to come back before the Scottsdale Development Review Board in July.
