Harold and Katie Christ announced today that they are transitioning the Windmill Winery to Travis and Gina Sheets.
“We are excited to pass a beautiful property and a thriving business to the next generation”, Christ said. “We have been developing the Windmill since 2000 and feel it is time to see the stewardship of this venue continue with like-minded people” The Windmill is known for its 1910 Red Barn, along with a spectacular Lake House where over 200 weddings and events are held annually, and a place for music and live entertainment to be enjoyed in a beautiful winery setting.
Christ noted, “Two key reasons for us to sell the Windmill to the Sheets. They will be retaining all the Windmill employees and, many people have noticed the recent updates and additions on the grounds which will only grow under Travis’ vision”.
Christ went on to share that “currently Travis serves us as Vice President of Development, so he is very familiar with our high level of standards and customer service we provided. He and his wife Gina bring years of experience
in international development, small business ownership, and government representation and operations. Gina is a licensed Arizona Realtor with AARE and was in the top 1% of Arizona Real Estate sales in 2024. Under the Sheets leadership, we’ll be able to continue providing the same great service and beautiful venue that our customers have come to expect. Katie and I will be engaged in the transition process ensuring that the weddings and special events will be as special and important as planned. We are thankful for your support, and we are grateful for your continued support in this seamless change in stewardship.”
