Eloy Mayor looking forward to north-south freeway

ELOY — Although there is currently no timetable or funding for work to begin on the project, Eloy leaders are already offering their support for the eventual north-south corridor freeway.

The roadway, which will officially be named State Route 505, is a 55-mile planned transportation route in Pinal County that would stretch from U.S. 60 in Apache Junction to Interstate 10 near Eloy.

As part of the preplanning stage, the Arizona Department of Transportation is conducting several environmental studies to designate the scope of work that will be required for the project.
