Gilbert unveils plan for next phase of town park

PHOENIX — The town of Gilbert announced plans for the second phase of its Desert Sky Park, which is located near Power and Williams Field roads.

The recreational area currently offers a lake, ninja warrior course and four multipurpose fields. It is set to add another field, a splash pad, two playgrounds, eight pickleball courts and more, according to a Tuesday press release.

Construction is estimated to begin before the end of 2025, according to Gilbert Parks and Recreation.

It will take approximately two years to complete the next phase.
