Rose Law Group land use attorney Sam DeMoss participates in Scottsdale Leadership mock council case

Mayor DeMoss has a nice ring to it! That was the role taken on by Rose Law Group land use attorney Sam DeMoss last week,as she served as ‘Mayor for a Day” during a Scottsdale Leadership (SL) mock council in the city’s Council Chambers. 

The case: With SL class members split into the councilmembers and opposing and supporting neighbors, the mock council went through a zoning case from the past that was withdrawn. Just as they do in an actual meeting, council voted on it in the end. Linda Milhaven, a former Scottsdale city councilmember, was there to lead class participants through the process and fill them in about her time in office
