Mesa council paves way for residential development

The Mesa City Council voted 7-0 at its recent meeting to approve a rezoning for a proposed 137-unit residential development.

The council approved rezoning of two parcels, one 3.3 acres and another of 3.7 acres from varying multifamily zonings to a coordinated one with a planned-area development overlay during the meeting..

The name of the development is 4062 E. Main and the project is 1,600 feet west of the northwest corner of East Main Street and North Greenfield Road, according to council documents.
