PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Oct. 14, 2025 – The Kiefer Foundation, the organization founded to end distracted driving and all associated traffic deaths and injuries, will celebrate Teen Driver Safety Week, Oct. 19-25, 2025 with the donation of several Just Drive Simulators to local area high schools. Additionally, it will release the new song, “Just Drive,” co-written by Steve Kiefer, founder and chairman of The Kiefer Foundation, and local recording artist, Maureen Kaiser.

The Just Drive Simulators provide an immersive, hands-on experience in a safe and controlled environment that educates drivers of all ages about the dangers of distracted driving. The simulators were developed with the mission to change behaviors, make roads safer and save lives. Through the generosity of private donors, Brother Rice High School and Detroit Country Day Upper School will receive Just Drive Simulators for student use. Additionally, in partnership with Magna, The Kiefer Foundation is mobilizing Just Drive Simulators to Novi, Troy and Pontiac High Schools as part of their STEM/Robotics program partnership for hands-on learning during Teen Driver Safety Week.

“Teen Driver Safety Week presents a special opportunity for us to spread the core message of The Kiefer Foundation to end distracted driving,” said Steve Kiefer. “We’re proud to have the opportunity to speak to students at these high schools and provide them with the Just Drive Simulators as a way to educate them about the dangers of distracted driving.”

In addition to the multiple simulator donations across southeast Michigan, The Kiefer Foundation is also releasing a new song, “Just Drive,” a country-genre tribute to Mitchel Kiefer’s life and part of The Kiefer Foundation’s campaign to end distracted driving. “Just Drive” is a follow up to the song “Dream Colossal” released last month by The Kiefer Foundation. Both songs can be found on streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube.
