According to public record, NNP III – Estrella Mountain Ranch LLC (an entity controlled by Newland Real Estate Group) closed on a large acreage south of the already developed portion of Estrella Mountain Ranch MPC. The transaction included 1,318 acres and closed 7/31/2013 for $69,798,017 ($52,958 per acre). The seller, Sun MP LLC, was an entity controlled by Sunchase Goodyear Properties as well as Arturo “Arte” Moreno (Owner of MLB’s Los Angeles Angels).
