Election fraud advocates accused of intentionally concealing campaign spending

By Kiera Riley | State Affairs

We the People AZ Alliance, a conservative political action committee pushing election fraud claims, is facing a campaign finance complaint after filing multiple quarterly reports with conflicting ending cash balances without explanation.

The complaint starts in the fourth quarter of 2024. The original filing notes an ending cash balance of $257,095.25 and lists no cash receipts or disbursements for the period. An amended report tempers the balance to $246,599.20, another amended report then puts the balance at $193,179 and a third report lists $196,649.10, with all three reporting no new activity.

A final report  shows an ending cash balance of $181,924.83, but then reports about $70,000 in income and $145,193 spent, with “NO ACTIVITY THIS PERIOD” still listed in bold at the top.

In the next reporting period, a similar pattern continued. The first report of the first quarter again reported $257,095.25, with no change in income or expenditures. It then dropped to $246,599.20, then to $196,649.10, followed by $193,179.10 then back to $181,924.83, all with no activity reported.
