While it may not seem as important as drafting town codes, a municipality’s identity and branding goes a long way to build a sense of community.
With that in mind, the San Tan Valley Town Council will be conducting a competition for residents to submit options for the town’s logo and theme.
The idea was discussed at the council’s regular meeting last week, where Town Manager Brent Billingsley introduced the idea to the council. Billingsley’s reasoning for a competition centered on two points: to engage with the community and have them provide their input, as well as to avoid the costs of hiring professional design services.
