A social media frenzy regarding a massive north Phoenix development project allegedly becoming a Muslim community is being refuted by the agent working to develop the parcel.
Brent Moser, principal with Lee & Associates, who is involved with the planned NorthPark project in north Phoenix, is refuting comments by a cadre of conservative social media posters, including Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs, who posted items to social media sites like Facebook and X saying the project will be a “Qatar City’ when completed.
Moser, who is the broker listed for the NorthPark project, said in an email that there was some “bad information circling.”
“In the summer of 2025, our team was approached by a banker with a book of business in Qatar,” Moser said in a statement to Independent Newsmedia. “At his request, we prepared a standard informational package commonly used in our industry, outlining an executive summary and key data related to a future public land auction.
