With a single vote, the Commission on Judicial Performance Review determined all 85 judges that were up for retention this election cycle met judicial performance standards, clearing their path to the ballot so voters can make the final decision in November.
The commission approved judges during its meeting on Friday.
The commission graded the judges on their command of law and procedure, impartiality, written and oral clarity, temperament, and administrative and management skills. Commissioners used survey data, public comment, and evaluation of written rulings and recordings of hearings.
