The moratorium is blocking bills in the Senate

The Senate held a floor session today but wasn’t scheduled to vote or debate any bills. The bill moratorium has limited what bills could realistically move forward, but that could change now that House and Senate leaders announced the introduction of their budget bills on Monday.

But not so much in the House…
The House was scheduled to discuss and vote on almost a dozen bills on the floor Monday afternoon. Notable bills include Senate Bill 1424Track, which would require school districts and charter schools to teach firearm safety awareness to students in kindergarten through 12th grade, and Senate Bill 1171Track, a measure that would require the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) to verify that individuals are not simultaneously enrolled in an Affordable Care Act health insurance plan while in AHCCCS.
