Private school to open first Pinal County campus

By Erica Little | Pinal Central

APACHE JUNCTION — Great Hearts, an Arizona-founded charter and private school network known for its classical education model, will open its first campus in Pinal County at the Blossom Rock development in Apache Junction.

Great Hearts Blossom Rock is expected to begin offering classes, starting in fall 2027, as a K-5 charter school, with plans to expand through eighth grade over time. Once open, it will become the network’s 25th campus in Arizona.

The tuition-free school will initially serve about 500 students but is designed to accommodate more than 800 at full capacity. An interest list is currently being compiled, with open enrollment planned for this November.
