Plans for a senior-living development at east Mesa’s Eastmark are picking up speed, with about 900 homes expected to be move-in ready by early 2015.
The 55-plus age-restricted community, which has yet to be named, will span about 310 acres of the 5-square-mile, mixed-use community.
Eastmark opened its first residential phase June 1 and will include resort, employment, recreation and commercial elements in addition to homes.
“These active-adult-community homes will all be single level, and there will be four series of homes available that’ll range in square footage from 1,400 all the way up to 3,000-plus,” said Karen Murray, vice president of sales and marketing for AV Homes.
The company is involved in homebuilding, community development and land sales in Florida and Arizona. “They should start moving dirt pretty soon,” Murray added.
