Kingman City Council selects Miles as new member

A City Council that Mayor Janet Watson described as “overwhelmed” with the quality of the 16 candidates unanimously chose Jennee “Jen” Miles to fill a vacancy that was created upon former Mayor John Salem’s midterm resignation.

Miles, 61, was one of four of the 16 applicants who made the short list after the Council met in closed session.

Miles, Mike Roberts, Chuck Waalkens and Dr. Jeri Brock each briefly spoke to the City Council before members went into a second closed session. They then voted for Miles when back in open session.
