Councilmembers drove to Tucson Aug. 29 and took a tour of the Tohono O’odham Nation’s Desert Diamond Casino. This event followed an earlier consensus in the Aug. 20 council workshop, where Councilmember Gary Sherwood brought up the possibility of seeking a dialogue with the TO.
Vice Mayor Yvonne Knaack was in Tucson when reached by phone Friday morning.
She took the tour, but her only comments were, “We’re opening a dialogue. I just think it’s time to have discussions.”
