Restaurants or other businesses looking to get into downtown Chandler have a rare opportunity to become a part of one of the most iconic spaces in the area.
The Crowne Plaza San Marcos Resort is opening for development of 7,068 square feet of first-floor retail space and 2,800 square feet of basement space in a hotel building on the northwestern corner of San Marcos Place and Commonwealth Avenue. It is regarded as a prime spot in downtown Chandler, and the basement portion has the added cachet of being rumored to have been a speakeasy during the Prohibition era.
There is a hotel-run coffee shop, which will close, in a small portion of the first-floor space in addition to a ballroom/conference room. The basement has been used for storage in recent years.
