Maricopa set to celebrate its 10th anniversary – congratulations, we remember when you were “born” and then did the most permitting in the nation out of a single trailer in the parking lot! What a great community you have become!

The City of Maricopa is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Tuesday, and there will be many ways to celebrate with numerous events planned.

Three days before the official anniversary date (Oct. 15), the Maricopa Public Library will host a “History of Maricopa” event, which will be held in conjunction with the Maricopa Historical Society. The library is located at 41600 W. Smith Enke Road.

In accordance with the City’s “Shop Local” initiative, Tuesday will be a Shop Local Day in Maricopa – a way to give a boost to the local economy.
