Kauffman Homes has been the only builder for some time now in the Apache Junction Submarket. Recently, Wilson Parker Homes started pre-sales for its community in Apache Junction, “Villagio.” Now, another builder is entering Apache Junction.  Located on the SW corner of Broadway Ave and San Marcos Dr., Superstition Commons LLC has started to build townhomes. While it is not currently open for sales, the sign in front of their subdivision says, “48 townhomes priced from the low 100’s.”  According to public record, Avalanche Investments LLC purchased the site October 30, 2012 for $960,000 (view affidavit here) and then later quit claimed the property to Superstition Commons LLC (view affidavit here). The purchase included 8 previously built townhomes and 48 partial lots.  The legal name for the subdivision is “The Haystacks” but is being marketed as “Superstition Commons.” Land Use Attorney, Jordan Rose, says “we handled a lot of master plans in AJ during the real estate boom. None were built. Now we are seeing those same properties coming back for “refreshment” in an attempt to meet the true market needs of today’s home buyer.”
