A proposed major General Plan amendment is seeking to change some north Scottsdale land uses on about 54 acres from commercial and open space to a resort designation.
The Scottsdale Planning Commission held a remote hearing on the matter Sept. 12 at Grayhawk Elementary School.
A handful of residents attended the hour-long hearing expressing concerns over traffic flow along Pima Road and the amount of density that may be seen when development occurs if rezoning and General Plan modifications are approved.
The site of the proposed changes is owned by Grayhawk Resort Land Company LLC and is just northwest of Thompson Peak Parkway and Pima Road, a Sept. 12 staff report states.
