West Valley industrial growth bucks national trends

A new industrial park on 267 acres of Goodyear cotton fields and a large new Surprise manufacturer offer evidence that the West Valley continues to attract employers despite national economic uncertainties.

As the market for large buildings sputtered in recent months, developers are focusing on smaller markets to find business tenants looking for buildings of 50,000 to 200,000 square feet, economists said.

That’s where Lincoln Property Co. turned when executives decided to recruit smaller to mid-size companies to move into the future Goodyear Airpark, southwest of Litchfield road and Arizona 85.
