A revised zoning district approved by the Scottsdale City Council this week could prompt greater building heights and density in the Scottsdale Airpark area.
With a 5-2 vote, the council adopted an ordinance approving a text amendment to the city’s zoning ordinance regarding the planned commerce park zoning district. The amendment will be in effect in 30 days.
Councilmen Bob Littlefield and Guy Phillips opposed it. In addition, former Airport Advisory Commission member John Washington spoke out against it.
