Chandler’s city clerk and former city attorney have filed a lawsuit against the city and state retirement system.
Marla Paddock and Mary Wade claim that Chandler did not properly report employees’ compensation to the state retirement system, which would reduce retirement benefits they would receive.
The state Attorney General’s Office argued that the case should be dismissed because Wade and Paddock did not first attempt to resolve their concerns through an administrative appeal process, according to court documents.
