KINGMAN — A Golden Valley man failed in his race for U.S. Congress after a recount showed no change in the margin.
The Arizona Secretary of State’s office informed Mikel Weisser on Monday that he still came up 19 votes short in his race in the Democrat primary in the redrawn U.S. Representative District 4. The district consists of all or part of seven counties including Mohave County.
Weisser said he intends to run again in 2014 for the congressional seat. Representatives serve two-year terms. He also said he wants to stand up against an out-of-control Republican Party that he says is threatening the American way of life.
