Ask East Valley Partnership President Roc Arnett where he hopes 2014 takes the Southeast Valley and prepare to get lightly scolded for your narrow thinking.
Here’s the real question, according to Arnett: Where would he take the region over the next few years, if everything were up to him?
“We are thought of as a retirement community, but guess what? In the East Valley, we are four percentage points younger than the national average,” he said. “We are better educated, with higher wages, than the national average, but people don’t know that. We’ve got to tell that story. We’ve got to have a game plan.”
A day after celebrating the new year, Arnett sat down with The Republic to lay out his ideal game plan for 2014 and beyond.
