Peoria begins permit self-certification program

Peoria officials rolled out their new Self-Certification Pilot Program, which is designed to streamline the building-permit process.

Through this program, to begin Thursday, Jan. 2, eligible building permits can be issued in as little as three business days. Qualifying building-permit applications include interior tenant improvements of nonresidential buildings not exceeding 15,000 square feet and two stories, excluding H-occupancy classifications.
