Ahwatukee homeowners whose properties abut the now-closed Ahwatukee Lakes Golf Club, and who have had concerns over how the golf course’s fate might influence their quality of life and home values, may be able to breathe easier.
A representative of Pulte Homes, which has a purchase contract in escrow on the property, said Friday that it plans to build single-family homes on the property, three to an acre, which would be less dense than the five homes to the acre of most surrounding neighborhoods, according to Mike Brilz, vice president of land development for Pulte’s Arizona Division.
