A ratty, 50-year-old inner-city apartment complex has become the latest addition to Mesa’s inventory of quality affordable housing for lower-income residents.
Temple Square Apartments, 324 S. Horne St., hosted its grand-opening ceremony Dec. 8, celebrating a $23 million renewal project.
Like several similar efforts in Mesa, this one knitted a coalition of for-profit and non-profit entities from across the Valley.
Temple Square is a product of the Greater Phoenix Urban League, a 69-year-old, Phoenix-based civil-rights organization.
