A Cave Creek councilman would love to see Greasewood Flat end up in his town, rather than relocating to another part of north Scottsdale.

Cave Creek Vice Mayor Adam Trenk is asking the town staff to look into bringing the landmark Western restaurant and bar to town.

“Attracting new business to Cave Creek that will augment the character of our historic commercial core is one of my personal priorities,” Trenk said. “Cave Creek would be an ideal setting for Greasewood Flat, and in my opinion, a lot better than Scottsdale. Attracting them here would be a great boost for our own tourism industry and ultimately generate revenues for our coffers.”

He is asking town staff to research all appropriate properties where the owners of Greasewood Flat could relocate to, if their current plans do not materialize.
