Proposed Interstate 11 has support of land owners, developers (naturally)

Why does it always seem Arizona’s future is linked with land speculation and real estate development? University of Phoenix Stadium landed on farmland in Glendale with grand promises of West Valley economic development. When Apple came looking for sites for manufacturing and operations center they are ferried to the old General Motors Proving Ground in far east Mesa.

Today, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval are launching a new push for Interstate 11. That is the proposed highway that would link Las Vegas and Phoenix and connect to Interstate 10.
