High Street is the new name of the north Phoenix mixed-use development formerly known as CityCenter at CityNorth.
The Phoenix Business Journal says the new name was inspired by the development’s main drag, also called High street, which is lined by the storefronts of its retail and office tenants.
The first phase of CityNorth, now High street, opened in 2008 with 628,000 square feet of space as part of a larger 5.5 million-square-foot project planned on 144 acres. but the project never made it past phase one, which was haunted by vacancies and fell into foreclosure two years later during the recession.
