Since the first crops were planted in the spring of 2013, more than 80 acres of the plant guayule (pronounced why-you-lee) are growing in Eloy to afford Bridgestone Americas Inc. with an alternative source of rubber for its tires.
The Economic Development Group of Eloy [EDGE] held a luncheon last week at the farm and participants were given a tour of the facilities.
