Oracle residents who opposed a medical marijuana dispensary in their area made their voices heard Wednesday, but in the end, it wasn’t enough. The Pinal County Board of Supervisors, after two hours of impassioned discussion from all sides, approved a special use permit for the dispensary to operate with a 3-2 vote.
Chairman Anthony Smith of Maricopa, Vice Chairman Todd House of Apache Junction and Supervisor Steve Miller of Casa Grande voted in favor, while Supervisors Pete Rios of Dudleyville and Cheryl Chase of San Tan Valley voted in opposition.
