One plaintiff still has 2015 Phoenix Open hanging in the balance

Two Scottsdale residents sued the city, claiming a contract the city entered into to make improvements at the TPC Scottsdale is an illegal subsidy.

In early July, John Washington withdrew from the case, which still is pending.

A firm trial date had not been set.

Only one plaintiff remains in a lawsuit challenging a $15 million municipal subsidy of improvements at TPC Scottsdale, after his lawyers and a co-plaintiff withdrew from the case, according to court documents and interviews.
