Neighbors not flying with proposed skydiving business

The adrenaline rush of jumping out of a plane and soaring through the sky could soon be available near Maricopa, but not if some area residents have anything to say about it.

Wednesday’s meeting of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors included discussion on a comprehensive plan amendment requested by the applicant, Steve Zobro of Psalm 91 LLC in Gilbert, to include a skydiving operation, heliport and an airstrip on his property near Maricopa. Zobro, who was not in attendance, was represented by Tucson attorney Lyle Richardson.
