Chairman of Rose Law Group Family Law Department Kaine Fisher comments:
“I must admit I’m a bit surprised. I would have suspected a much more contentious divorce for a man who made a career out trashing capitalism. Dividing up nine (9) properties is no easy task even if the parties are getting along. There is no mention of a prenuptial agreement, but I am curious whether there was one, as this could have been the reason for such a swift resolution. The divorce petition was filed on June 17, 2013 (just over a year ago). Although that may sound like a long divorce for most folks, it seems like nothing to me considering their numerous properties, and my guess is that they also had various other business interests, personal property, accounts, etc. that required division. This divorce probably would have ended much sooner if not for the vast amount of discovery that likely had to take place just so the attorneys (and the parties) could get a grasp on what was even out there to be divided.”
