Work halts on reported Tesla Gigafactory site in Nevada

The mystery of where the first of Tesla’s $5 billion Gigafactory battery plants will be built has deepened as work on a reported site in Nevada has stopped.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reported Sunday that work on a site at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center in Storey County, Nevada, had been underway for three weeks, with equipment clearing the land for what was reported to be for the Gigafactory.

That changed in the past couple days, though, as work was halted on the site.
