El Mirage and Youngtown candidates answer questions

In Youngtown, Mayor Michael LeVault is running unopposed and five candidates are running for three seats on the city council

The position of mayor of El Mirage will be decided and contenders include current Mayor Lana Mook and Councilman James McPhetres.

Five candidates in El Mirage are running for three city council seats. They include incumbent Vice Mayor Joe Ramirez and incumbent Councilman Jack Palladino, as well as Robert Jones, Jonathan Mecham and Jason Tanner.

In Youngtown, Mayor Michael LeVault is running unopposed. Five candidates are running for three seats on the city council. They include incumbents Margaret Chittenden, Judy Johnson and June Miller. Also running are Fred Longley and Lourdes Hackbarth.

The primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 26, and the general election is Nov. 4.
