The Maricopa City Council will likely determine whether code of ethics complaints filed by Councilmember Julia Gusse and Vice Mayor Edward Farrell against each other have merit at its meeting Tuesday.
Councilmember Julia Gusse and Vice Mayor Edward Farrell filed code of ethics complaints against each another in June stemming from Gusse’s treatment of a City Council candidate during a public interview.
Former Councilman Carl Diedrich was among the candidates interviewed during the May 29 city council meeting to temporarily fill the council seat vacated Leon Potter. During his interview, Gusse questioned Diedrich’s ethics and called him a bully.
