Arizonans are fortunate to have two solid candidates for governor. Republican Doug Ducey has proven his abilities as state treasurer. Democrat Fred DuVal is a moderate who has strong experience at the state and federal level, having worked for Bruce Babbitt and President Bill Clinton. Barry Hess, the Libertarian candidate, is making his fourth try for the office and also ran for president and the U.S. Senate.
Ducey ran a solid primary campaign, touting his conservative principles, while DuVal was unopposed.
