How many of you knew that October is Estate Planning month? Alright, it’s not really estate planning month, but it should be because October is the perfect time to plan your estate.
If you’ve been outside recently, you know that summer is over. The summer heat is gone and the nights are cool. My sister who is visiting from Tucson couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the trees were. I hadn’t noticed the leaves had started to change until she said something.
We have some down time now. In about two months, we will be caught up in the holiday frenzy. But until then, there aren’t a lot of things that demand our time. Unless, of course, you stress over the pressures of Halloween.
Nope, for about seven weeks, there isn’t a lot demands on our time which is why this is the perfect time to get moving on your estate plan.
Remember that estate planning is going to take some time. It’s not like getting your oil changed at the Quickie Lube. It’s going to take some scheduling and planning.
