The City of Scottsdale is considering a Capital Improvement Project that would, if approved, construct a multi-lane roundabout and transit center on 90th Street across from the Mustang Branch Library between Shea Boulevard and Mountain View Road in Scottsdale.
The original project budget was $8.6M. However, due to private developments already underway in the area, sufficient land was not available for a proposed parking structure and the project plan was scaled back. Construction cost of the proposed plan is $4M.
Located north and south of the roundabout, a pair of transit stops – northbound and southbound – would accommodate pullout space for three 40-foot transit buses with a dedicated bypass lane.
